Guys, I’m 33 years old and my buddies have finally got my interest with bow hunting. So, I’m trying to make an educated decision on how to spend my money. I’ve seen a lot of bows and a lot of different prices. So, what’s the best option? #1. Buying a used bow, if so what bows would you guys recommend? #2 Buying a new bow..I know new bows are expensive, plus all the add-ons. I don’t want to spend over $400. I’d really like to spend less than that if possible and still get a nice bow.
So, I’m hoping someone out there can help me in my decision. If you have any opinions or experience please pass it along.

What’s the best bow for under $400 dollars?
Friday, May 21st, 2010archey bow help. how to acheve distance?
Tuesday, February 23rd, 2010Ok I have been bow hunting for years. Right now im trying for distance like 70 80 yards im doing this for my self not for hunting my goal is to make 100 yards hand hit a 5×6 card its a long shot but its some thing that I want to do any help. I can hit the 5×6 card at 55 yards but after that the arrow is kinda shaky. The arrows im using are gold tips with 100grain fild points the arrow weight is around 360 grain. Oh and im using my fred bear blacktaile hunter at 70 lbs and 28inch draw
I forgot im pushing 283 feet per second. With up stage round cams fast flite string and cable leed custom steel 10 oz front stablelizer and my custom string glide is 5.6 oz so the bows is about 6 lbs. Im at 6 foot 1 inch 245 lbs. It fits me.
Ya im makeing it to the target that’s a 6×4 3/4 inch plywood with a hips target with a 5×6 card on it I hit the hips boad about 6 inchs around the card if I can fix the tuning on it i might be able to get it. The arrow is almost going in wide spins of about 2 inch around the 40 yard mark and then fixing its self. Oh and I have two arrows with 2inch blazers and two with the true feather that are what 4 inches long.

Bow for a beginning archer?
Tuesday, November 17th, 2009I’ve taken an interest in archery.. as a hobby, not for hunting. I’m wanting just a basic, traditional looking bow. I don’t care for those fancy looking ones that look almost like a gun. Something cheap also, since I’ve only used a bow once, and not very well.
Also, I’m quite small. 5’3 and tiny. Should I get a youth bow?
Compound Bow vs. Recurve Bow?
Tuesday, October 27th, 2009I was thinking about buying a bow. Im not sure which one is better. What do you archers think about a compound bow and why do you think its used for such as hunting, fishing, or just shooting targets. And same question for the recurve bow im thinking about buying the Martin X-150 recurve bow. Is it any good, if so what makes it good, if not what makes you dislike it?
