Sure, you need a hunting license to hunt anywhere, and sometimes special permits on top of that for specific game or seasons or weapons. Licenses for out of state residents are more expensive and may be limited in number. Contact the Idaho game and fish commission (or whatever they call it in Idaho.) Walmart sells licenses in many places – I dont know about Idaho.
I don’t have a concrete answer for you but I believe every state has those requirements. Your on line. Look it up maybe or something like it. Info is always free. The tag however is not cheap for out of state hunters.
For archery hunting in Idaho you must have completed an archery specific hunter education course OR have completed one in another state OR have bow hunted in Idaho or other state LEGALLY and you have to sign an affidavit to that effect. There is also an added archery permit fee on top of the license and tag fees.
There are plenty of hunt opportunities in Idaho for archery, including antelope. I’ve hunted in North Idaho most of my life and in other areas now and then.
the link below has regs and the affidavit form for archery. If you need to get a class do it NOW!
