I just got a compound bow and after i got it tuned in i forgot to ask the guy how long of arrows i should use. I have a 30 inch draw back on it. im sure that effects what length of arrows i should use. Any suggestions?

The length of your draw is what determines the length of your arrow. Adding any additional length to the shaft only adds more weight to the arrow which results in shorter ranges and faster drops in trajectory. If you already know you have a 30″ draw, order your arrows accordingly. In fact, just to be sure, try an arrow at the archery range just to be sure that you don’t need a small fraction of an inch more or less. From the time that you select the proper length, do NOT switch arrows and practice with odd weights and lengths. It is critical that you always get the same reaction and results from the arrows you shoot in practice, competition, or in hunting!
In archery at least, bigger is NOT better when it comes to the shaft of your arrows.
Good luck and good shootin’…….
use the length/ weight/spine stiffness that you tuned your bow with. changing any or all of these will most likely require some adjustment to keep shooting straight.
Well, too short is a real bad idea, might be fun to watch! these other fellas seem to have good advise.
For one thing, tuning should dictate what length your arrow is. If you’re using it for hunting you do need the arrow to be long enough such that the broadhead will sit in front of your bow hand at full draw, but not too long for reasons stated above.
