You must bow hunt…but camoulage yourself and lay behind something like a tree, bush, tall grass, or other things in the middle of the field

try this go up in the woods about 200′yrds where they came into the fieldand post your stand about 2:30 deer will wait and mill around the woods till dusk then move . this might work

find out the deer’s main travel route into the field. that would be their feeding route. it would be best to set up on this at the edge of the field with the deer path about 20 yards from your stand, or setup in the woods just before the field opens up, once again 20 yards from the path. if any bucks are using this for a feeding path, you can catch them early in the morning going to bed, and it would be a good place to catch does mainly an hour or so before dark, depending on the moon. but definitely the best thing would be to set up on a heavily used travel route.

I can think of three problems with your plan: 1. If you put a blind in the middle of the field, it’ll be a few days before the deer get used to it and come near, 2. You aren’t going to hunt at night, and 3. The deer aren’t going to come out into the field until evening, and the the big boys probably not ’til after it’s too late to shoot.
I’d suggest hunting the edge if the wind’s right.

Deer travel where they feel safe and secure.
    This is to your advantage.
If you know where the deer entered the field scout that area about midday, I would do so wearing rubber boots with my pants tucked in side the boots to avoid leaving human sent behind.
Avoid early morning and late evening scouting, for that is when it is most likely used.
If you don’t know where they entered the field try and back track to determine this entry point.
Deer do mill around at the entry points to make sure it is safe before expose them selves.
If in your scouting of the point of entry it does not look well used .
It may well not be a safe travel corridor but instead you may have witnessed their escape and evasion technique.
Something may have spooked them and that may well have been a convenient exit point.
Scouting your area you plan to hunt is recommended well in advance of the hunting season
So as not to spook the deer.
But some times things change in mid season and you must improvise.
When improvising avoid contaminating the area with human sent or you will tip your hand or the deer may well evade you.
    Good luck and shoot straight

T bob you have the ideal but I want to add to it and maybe modify it some.
You don’t have to go back into the woods 200 yds. Only go about 30 to 50 yards off the fields edge. This area is called the staging area. Bucks and Does will hang out in this area until the security of darkness. Some will just bed down and others will mill around feeding. Now all you have to do is figure out what trail they are using the most consistent to enter the field. Put your stands there, where all these funnels come together.
Now the reason you dont want to go 200 yds off the field edge is that the deer maybe funneling into the field from different directions, to one centeral location and I have found that these funnels usually come together about 30-50 yards off the fields edge. This location will give you the best oppertunity to take one of them. Remember you’re bowhunting, not gun hunting.
    Good Luck!

Claymores are real efffective ! That is why I refuse to bowhunt, if I see something I want to be able to shoot at it not wave goodbye.

find the trail that the deer use to enter the field and set your stand up with in range of it
