i’m going to say no….because it’s a “weapon,” and it can’t possibly be that important for you to risk getting in serious trouble over it. you aren’t allowed to bring guns, or even small pocket knives.

although, i took a paintball gun once…but it’s not like they went through and found it…so i don’t know what they would have done had they actually seen it.

You have to take your bow to a cinegetic park or area they do exist but it’s illegal to use it in a random place.

What in the heck are you going to hunt in Mexico. There’s lots of stray dogs in Mexico but I hope that’s not what you had planned. Since you need a permit for ‘wild’ animals …. have you checked with the place you’ll be staying?

According to Mexican law: are forbidden the import of such weapons ” which are reserved for use by the armed forces”. (Example M15 rifles) Other weapons (rifles for hunting or hunting shotguns) may be imported with a permit. Please consult a Mexican consulate or embassy to find out how your bow would be classified. And obviouly apart from a permit for the bow, if you go hunting that is you will need a local or state hunting license. If you take part in a sports competition no license is required. The gentleman who suggested dog hunting is obviously totally ignorant of the noble sport of olympic archery.

Agree with Sparks…if you are going hunting you’ll need a permit, check with your local consular office. We have been bringing sport bows down to Mexico for many years for target shooting, but the new hunting bows may be considered a weapon.
