Make an old hunting bow look new?

Saturday, January 8th, 2011
michalblystone asked:

My dad gave me his old bow for hunting this year, it is a PSE Polaris. Its not a bad bow for being free and i am pretty comfortable with it, but the problem is the camo pattern, its old and doesn’t even remotely look like camouflage, and i was wondering if there was an easy way to make it look newer? I’ve considered just spray painting it, but is there any good spray paint that looks similar to a normal camo pattern? Or are there any other tricks that you have used or know of?

Will a golf scope and rangefinder work for hunting as well?

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010
The Kid asked:

I am a bow hunter in need of a way to determine my distance from my stand to the deer. Lately I have noticed digital scope and rangefinders marketed towards the golfer to find the distance from him to the green. Has anyone used one of these for bow hunting or hunting in general? The reason I ask is that the hunting rangefinders are $200-500 and a golfer’s scope/rangefinder are only about $50.

What’s the best bow for under $400 dollars?

bigdd42276 asked:

Guys, I’m 33 years old and my buddies have finally got my interest with bow hunting. So, I’m trying to make an educated decision on how to spend my money. I’ve seen a lot of bows and a lot of different prices. So, what’s the best option? #1. Buying a used bow, if so what bows would you guys recommend? #2 Buying a new bow..I know new bows are expensive, plus all the add-ons. I don’t want to spend over $400. I’d really like to spend less than that if possible and still get a nice bow.
So, I’m hoping someone out there can help me in my decision. If you have any opinions or experience please pass it along.
