I’m an 18 year old male, 6’4″ with an athletic build, looking to buy my first bow that I will use for both recreation and maybe a little hunting. I’m looking for a compound bow and price isn’t really an issue. I was hoping some one could tell me what bow would be best for a beginner that I can use to hunt and practice with.

I’m planning on buying my own bow soon. But I was having trouble deciding between a recurve bow or compound bow. For the Compound Bow, is it possible to shoot an arrow without using a arrow release? (can I shoot a arrow with a compound bow just like how I shoot an arrow with a recurve?)
