Most all compound bows are adjustable, but I don’t know of any that go from 40-70 lbs. Best thing for you to do as a beginner would be to go to a local archery shop and get fitted for a bow that fits you. They can set you up with every thing you need and might have a selection of used bows that will be cheaper than new and be good for a beginner.

    Good luck.

I recommend the PSE Deer Hunter, it is a GREAT beginner bow, it comes with what you need to get started. The only thing bad I have to say about it is that it is a little loud, but some good string silencers or something should fix that, no problem.
